Maui fun
We really enjoyed our stay. Great location and property. A little bit north of the busier area so more quiet and relaxed. Highly recommend!

Perfect home base
This condo was a perfect little retreat for our family (2 adults + 2 elementary-age kids). The owner was helpful when making the reservation. Everything inside was as described/pictured and the information book for the condo outlined everything we needed to know while staying there. The pool was a great way to unwind in the afternoon and we met a few other nice families while spending time there. The beach located at the Kahana Sunset was small but still delivered plenty of fun. The location is just a short drive to activities and beaches further North as well as Kaanapali and Lahaina; also conveniently located near a grocery store and a surf shop for rentals. It was a bit of a trek to get to Wailea (~45-60 min) and we did not bother to attempt Hana as we wanted to spend more time relaxing and less time driving (would’ve been at least 7 hours round trip before accounting for stops). We would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kahana Sunset. The condo was clean and a good size for our family of 4. Nice to have a partial ocean and pool view. Sunset watching every night was a highlight of the trip. Only downside was there was no path to walk along beach or sidewalk on the road close to the condo as with many other places along the water, making it a bit safer to drive to all the sights. Otherwise a great location and wonderful trip. Henry the turtle was amazing too. Visited the little beach every night.

Beautiful Views!
Such a beautiful property! The condo was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The grounds are well kept and the beach is very nice. We saw turtles resting on the beach and several while snorkeling. We will definitely book this property again!

Fabulous.... Don’t wait to book it!
This is such a great property! Any more good reviews will make this place even more popular and difficult to book, oh well......you will be one of the lucky ones if you stay here😊�. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and children ranging from 15 to 4. We have been to Hawaii 4 times and our third time to Maui. Previous times we stayed in downtown Lahaina and Kihei. The maps plots this unit it Lahaina but it’s north of the Kaanapali hotels. We also are regular VRBO and Air BnB renters (Tahoe, Santa Cruz, Dillons Beach, Phoenix) and this is by far one of the BEST. Susan was great to book/ work with. The condo was as described, pictures are accurate and it was clean and fresh. Thank god it had A/C we were there with 90 degree weather and we would have melted. A couple other units near us didn’t have A/C and they were dyin’. Great view of the pool and ocean! Aside from day trips to Lahaina for food and shopping, the Aquarium and the Maui Plantation Tour (this was my favorite), we stayed and swam in the pool or the ocean for hours a day. Every single morning turtles were on the beach. And every single day they swam on the beach off and on for hours. It was really incredible. Kahana Sunset was HOPPING during the late July week we stayed. So many families from all over the world. Kids from infant to 18. It was a fantastic time. The pool was quiet during specified hours. This was hands down one of the best vacations we have ever taken. Kitchen was great, beds were great. Yep, you read that right.... beds were great. Only ehhh parts was a smallish laundry tub (but hey.... had laundry) and TV guide was a pain (at night, but again how silly). Had to put something down as ehh. If you’re looking at this and debating ...... you won’t be disappointed. We literally cannot wait to go back!

Great Location
This was my first time to Maui and after several months searching I picked this place and I was not disappointed. The condo itself is updated and fully equipped. The air conditioning was nice as we had some hot days. There is a private beach which turned out to be a good spot for seeing turtles. The condo is a short walk to a market and coffee shop. It is also close to many other great beaches.

Nice condo
The condo was well appointed. It had everything needed for a stay in Maui- from beach towels and beach toys to kitchen accessories and toilet paper. However, one frustrating thing was the air conditioners being set on timers and at 74 degrees. The maximum amount of time we could set the ac unit was for 8 hours. Therefore, because it was June and very warm, we had to constantly babysit the units to keep them running- especially since we could not control the temperature. Also, the pool and beach are very small, but very beautiful and well-maintained. There were so many beaches we wanted to visit, so we made day trips to other locations to fill our beach needs. The one at Kahana Sunset was lovely for watching turtles come in each evening. The location is very central and allowed us to easily get to multiple beaches, resorts, restaurants, and attractions. We really enjoyed having Napilli Roasters within walking distance for a great cup of coffee and the Napilli market next door to it for quick food items. We would definitely consider coming back and using unit B2.

The condo is in the best condition and the place where it is was paradise the parking .the grounds, the pool ,the sandy beach was so wonderful. In a very great place for using a base everything is around there. We toured every place in Maui and this community was the best . Thank you for our first trip to Maui being awesome. Wonderful!
We enjoyed a week in this lovely condo with our two children. It’s perfect for a family of 4 with 2 upstairs bedroom suites. The view is spectacular and the private beach is an extra bonus. And, it’s very close to the world-class beaches of Napili and Kapalua.

Location, location, location
We enjoyed our stay at this property. It's perfectly set up for a family or two couples as there are two bedrooms with in suite bathrooms. One has a king bed, one a queen and a twin. The condo has a view over the pool and the ocean and is minutes away from Kapalua beach, a great snorkel spot. There's also Napili market nearby which we found had lower prices than elsewhere. We didn't get to swim at the beach here as the weather was stormy. In calmer weather, I think it would be a fantastic beach. The kitchen is fully equipped, one could even bake a pie. It's a well laid out condo and perfectly positioned for watching sunset.

The Best of Kahana Sunset
During the past 24 years we have stayed at the Kahana Sunset five times in different units. B-2 is by far the best condo we have stayed in, and the owner is a delight to work with while planning our stay and even while we were there for a week. The condo is well equipped and provides everything you and your family could want while relaxing at the beach or at the pool. Thanks Susan and the Campbell family!

Beautiful condo!
I travelled to Maui with two friends and we all agree this condo was fabulous. This was one of my friends first visit to Hawaii and she fell in love and can't wait to return to Kahana Sunset. I've stayed at many condos in Hawaii and this was my favorite, I also plan on returning with my husband & grandkids. The condo was very clean with beautiful furnishings and remodeled throughout. The kitchen was fully equipped; we appreciated fully stocked paper towels and toilet paper so no need to run to the store. We snorkeled on the private beach and swam with turtles. The condo complex is well run and very clean. Paradise - can't wait to return.

Relaxed and very comfortable unit in a fantastic unit complex.
This unit in Kahana Sunset was perfect for our stay on Maui. Our two small kids enjoyed the pool and the beach (including the use of the beach toys in the unit). The rooms are large and kitchen / bathrooms are well appointed. The other guests seemed to be long-time returnees, and we certainly felt we were in a quality complex. Be sure to also explore the beaches to the north of the property. This is a great and very comfortable place to base yourself.

Family time in Maui!
This was our second time at Kahana Sunset and our first time in B2. We walked in the condo and immediately felt at home. It is very well maintained and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The owner and the manager of the property are very helpful and respond quickly to any questions you may have. Some major benefits of this resort for my family were the pool and beach right on the property. The pool is heated by solar panels and cleaned daily. The beach is a mere 30 second walk from the pool area and is home to quite a few turtles. The snorkeling and swimming on this little beach is incredible and family friendly. Another aspect that our family enjoyed was the tables over looking the ocean. We ate lunch there almost everyday and listened to the waves crashing against the rocks and could watch whales jump while we ate. The resort is very well taken care of by the staff and they are always bettering the property whether it is watering the plants or cutting the grass or taking care of the palm trees, they definitely out do themselves. We had a ton of fun staying here and can't wait to go back. We went home rejuvenated and loved it so much we booked it again for next year before we left! Mahalo The Scantlands and one Sinclair

This is a great place to stay. The unit was very clean and very well supplied from kitchen to bath to boogie boards and beach towels. There are two balconies with great views as well as a covered common area and view point area. We saw whales breaching and turtles swimming. The courtyard and pool area are very well kept with beautiful flowers, walking path to the private beach, BBQ's and lots of chairs for lounging. The staff is constantly busy cleaning and keeping things tidy and are very friendly. The location is a 15 minute drive to Lahaina. There is a local grocery store, Boss Frogs store and coffee shop in a small shopping area within a 10 minute walk. The owner has a guest book with tips for things to do and local places to eat. She details how to work appliances in the house and miscellaneous other tips that were very helpful. There is no air conditioning but every room has a ceiling fan and a nice stand up fan. I can't say enough nice things about this place. We had a great time. March 2018

Everything about the condo has been great. Location, furnishings, view, beds, staff, and all other amenities. For great happy hours, go to Beach Bums BBQ, a 3 minute drive. Great food and drinks. Pizza is great. Tell Ed the owner the people from MN sent you. Back to the condo. Kitchen was great and really nice to have the 2.5 baths. Very nice on the remodeling. Whales watched off the lanai, turtles and swam right in front of the place. Would definitely come back. Our sixth time to Hawaii and one of the best places we have stayed.

The unit was spacious and nicely updated. It had everything we needed for our week long stay. The master bed was very comfortable, and we loved having two lanais and fans in every room to keep cool on the warm days. It was also conveniently located a very short drive or walk to a grocery store, great coffee shop, a few delicious eateries and one of our favorite beaches (Kapalua Bay Beach). We also loved having access to the small beach and the kiddie pool was great for our toddler son. Our only [minor] complaint was with the complex itself...the “heated” pool was barely warm, especially for the colder November days. Otherwise, all was wonderful. Mahalo!

This place is lovely, your own almost private white sand beach with turtles right out front. The condo was clean and well appointed with everything you need, even beach towels and all the kitchen appliances for cooking great meals. The Napili grocery is a 6 minute walk away. Very convenient location. We didn't want to leave! Thanks for sharing your wonderful oasis.

We had a great 10 day on Maui and staying at the kahana sunset in B2. The rooms were very nice. everything you could every need was in the condo. We were a family of four staying and we kids had a blast. swimming on he private beach and in a swim pool all week the condo had boogie boards, chairs and a ice chest for us to use. the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we wanted blender, crock pot and stuff to use at the BBQ. we enjoy so many days just there at the condo enjoying the beach and property. the staff was amazing they the grounds were always being cleaned and straightened. many others family were there as well and it still was very quite. this is for sure were we will always stay when returning to the island.

We had an absolute blast on vacation and enjoyed the condo! The only downside was no air conditioning. It was hot! It did cool down in the evening with leaving doors open and having all fans on but would have been more comfortable with ac. Other then that the beds were comfortable, rooms were very nice and clean, the kitchen was great and the view off of the two balconys was beautiful! We didn't mind going to bed with the doors open listening to the ocean every night. We absolutely loved the private beach! We snorkeled with three large sea turtles! Also the pool and grilling area was great! We would absolutely come back! The owner was great to communicate with and renting from her was easy and effortless! She was very nice and quick to respond! thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

This place was perfect. Low key, laid back but with a great pool, a private beach and a wonderful cove with sea turtles and wonderful to snorkel. I can think of a better "base" to operate out of. Close proximity to everything you could ever want. We are coming back.

Stayed here for 9 nights, and wished we could have stayed the whole month. Location is amazing, being able to walk out on either lanai and see the trees, sky, beach and water. It is so nice to be able to open the doors and hear the waves, feel the warm air, and just feel the stress drift away. The rental unit was great - the beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows, fans to keep the air cool at night, kitchen was bigger than we expected, and the living room was comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone, and hoping that we can stay here again next time we are visiting Maui.

This condo was just amazing! It was well-appointed and well-maintained. Clean and full of everything a gourmet cook could want. The grounds were gorgeous - beautiful landscaping and homegrown bananas!. Such a beautiful, pristine, and picturesque beach too. I couldn't stop taking photos - it was beautiful throughout the day, but the sunsets were spectacular! The owner, Susan, was very helpful and easy to work with too which made for a very relaxing trip! My husband and I will be back for sure and next time for longer!

We stayed for 12 days part of which we had 6 people in the condo. 3 Adults and 3 kids. We were all very comfortable and found the full sized kitchen filled with everything that we needed very useful. The condo also had 2 umbrellas, a boogie board, sand castle stuff. The kids loved it! We packed light and made use of the washer and dryer. The only down fall we had during out trip was finding a leak in the down stairs bathroom which I know Sue will fix asap. I also had to contact the new property manager a couple times for some small things like the gas to the bbq's not being on at 2pm and was meet with a rather abrupt rude response. I chose not to speak with her after that. We visit this resort yearly and found that a lot of the rules were changed, which we didn't find beneficial to those who liked quiet time. Overall though we still love this place and this unit is one of the more beautiful units on the property. Sue takes great care of it. Only complaint on the unit would be to have the same strong fans she has in the living room in the bed rooms upstairs or stronger room fans lol we were supper hot, so we didn't go to bed till late. This unit doesn't face the trades so you have to get use to the heat.

Wonderful 10 days on Maui!!!

Had a wonderful 10 day stay from late April to early May. You should definitely YouTube this unit and see the gorgeous decor and all of the amazing upgrades they put into it. Susan was super easy to work with. This unit is DIALED IN!! The owners have put tile throughout, granite, built-in units with stone mosaic, full tile and mosaic showers, whisper quiet cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and even a really nice flat top electric cook range. Condo was also SUPER CLEAN upon entering. I'm kind of a stickler for cleanliness...when we travel I inspect the whole place and re-clean light switches, countertops, toilet seats and lids, etc. Not one speck of dirt was found on the wet wipes I was using. Color me impressed! They also stock it full of every kitchen gadget and item you would need. We'd highly recommend this unit to anyone who'd like to stay on a semi-private beach in Maui. I've been to Maui 11 times now and have throughly explored most of its beaches. Never been on this beach because you can't really tell it's there unless you were staying in the units at Kahana Sunset. You can see the sea turtles from the balcony and tons when you're in the water/on the beach. What a great bay! Grounds are beautiful and well kept. You can see the gardens very well from the unit and enjoy their pristine beauty. The only downside is no AC. We knew this going into it, but still we were hit with a heat wave and had to acclimate a bit. We left screens open when we could and the whole unit has super strong fans throughout. Oh and if you're squeamish on bugs...2 centipedes in the unit crawled thru the kitchen. Saw a 3 inch cockroach (and a handful of baby ones) but only found in one area near master bath.... and not every night. This is super common in a tropical climate and didn't bother us a bit. I remember coming here to Maui as a kid and a server joking with us at a restaurant that they use cockroaches as busboys on Maui! Lol! So really, nothing to worry about, just a few locals saying hello! No ants and no mosquitoes...that's better in my books! Plus if you are bug-phobic you probably shouldn't go anywhere tropical. We've been to Costa Rica and with the heat and humidity (no trade winds) and bugs there it makes Maui look like Antarctica in comparison. Overall we'd definitely stay here again. The beauty, decor, and ease of working with Susan make this a perfect Maui vacation.

The condo was perfect for the four of us and Susan was easy to work with. This was the smallest complex we have ever stayed at on Maui but we enjoyed the quaint, quiet setting. The condo is attractively furnished, the kitchen is well appointed and the views from the two decks were spectacular. We loved listening to the waves while we were in bed and watching whales from the decks. We saw sea turtles every day along the complexes shoreline. The sunsets were beautiful every day. The location was great, we were close to Kapalua Bay and not far from Lahaina. We made wonderful memories. We would highly recommend staying here.

The views from the lanais (decks) at this unit are great. The lanais face south and west so they are in position for watching the sun set. The bottom lanai is large with a nice sun shade to cover it on particularly warm days. You can see Molokai'I and Lanai'i from the lanais. The bay is good for learning to snorkel or paddle board on calm days and could be good for body surfing on larger days, depending on the swell. This is a great place to soak up the sun and relax.

We had a stay-cation for the weekend, rounded up the kids and stayed for the weekend. There is a private beach and you get to watch the beautiful sunset right from one of the 2 balcony's. The pool is perfect for big kids and little ones as they have a keiki pool that my 2 and 4 year old played in while the 9 year old jumped in with the adults in the bigger pool. Beautiful upgraded condo with enough room for us all!

I have stayed at several properties in the Kahana Sunset complex and I don't feel the need to explore staying anywhere else. This place is heaven! Small complex with a private beach, snorkeling, sea turtles, a pool, herb garden, among other things. Susan (one of the owners) was great to work with. She was very responsive and helpful in planning our trip. The unit itself is very clean and well decorated. I really liked the location being close to the pool and BBQ area. We stayed at the end of July and it was hot. This unit (as many in the Kahana Sunset complex) does not have AC so if you are sensitive the heat, you might best plan the time of year you stay here. We loved it though. Being able to sleep with the Lanai sliders open, waves crashing was so amazing..

My family of five stayed here for a week and everything was great. Condo is in excellent location with privacy, easy access to beach and close to popular areas to explore if that is your preference. Well kept property and unit is no exception with nice touches, an excellent kitchen and great views. Outdoor BBQ on property, close-in parking. Put this on your list. Quiet Condo!

What a FANTASTIC unit!! Absolutely spotless from top to bottom, the most well-stocked kitchen of any home we've ever rented, amazing view of the ocean and the pool, very nicely decorated and completely renovated!! If you're familiar with the units at KS, you'll especially appreciate the bathroom downstairs (not all units have one)! I've been coming to Kahana Sunset since I was little girl and now get to share it with my own family. It's a very special place...and this is our FAVORITE unit! Can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous home away from home!

I stayed here for two weeks around Easter this year. It's the best unit at Kahana Sunset, hands down. It's pristine inside, well-decorated (looked like brand-new upholstery), and with a well-appointed kitchen for those who love to cook. The beach is private, so it's never crowded and always peaceful and relaxing. Between the beach, the pool, and the covered Keone Nui room, I always found the perfect spot to lounge with a good book. The (two!) lanais are the perfect spot to catch sunsets each evening. The owner was responsive and very easy to work with. I've been to Kahana Sunset many times over the years and hope to come return to this unit many times in the future.

We had an awesome stay in Kahana Sunset with our two teenage daughters. The location is perfect, the condo is immaculate, and the view is to die for. We loved it and it was very relaxing. There is a lot to do and see on the west end of Maui and Kahana Sunset is perfectly located for it. Every evening ended with us grilling out on the community grills and watching the whales and the sunset. This was a great time to meet people from all over the world but still be able to go back to the privacy of our own place. This was our 2nd stay at the place and we will be back for sure.

We have stayed at Kahana Sunset several times; it's the only place on Maui that we will stay. This was our first time in this unit, where we spent 3 weeks. Our favorite feature is the double lanai, one on each level, and they are huge! Not like the almost balconies you get at other places. Who needs a restaurant when you can enjoy your meals on the lanai with a spectacular view! And the lower lanai has a retractable awning if you really want to block out the sun. Grill your meal on the community grills and meet other guests, some of whom will tell you that a big reason for coming to Kahana Sunset is the privacy. You are not sharing this special place with guests from all over the island. This condo has been beautifully remodeled; the kitchen has everything you could want -- and then some! All the ceiling fans do work; you just have to figure out the switches! Owner Susan is a wonderful communicator. This continues to be our favorite spot on Maui. But don't spread the word too much; we do want to be able to book this unit again!

The Kahana Sunset and this unit were absolutely AMAZING!!!! Beautifully remodeled with every amenity we could hope for. Plenty of appliances, sundries, spices, utensils etc. etc. The view is amazing, tv, internet, all worked flawlessly. We had two families and also stayed in another unit in the E section which we liked but this unit was just a notch above. The only thing we could find that didn't work for us was the second fan in the family room, and that is a stretch because there is another one right next to it so it was not an issue. The owners were prompt and accommodating in every way. We spent time going all over the island and we could not find a better spot. The turtles you can see here are the biggest on the island. The beach is great and the Kahana Sunset in general goes to great lengths to make sure their grounds are impeccable. This was my 6th time to Hawaii and I've never stayed in a nicer resort or condo. Amazing vacation and if we go to Maui again we're going to Kahana Sunset and staying in this unit!!!! Thanks so much for an amazing time.

The second fan in the main living area does work. Sometimes a light switch gets turned off by accident. Our on-island property manager is Sullivan Properties and is available for any issues that need immediate attention during one's stay.

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and vow renewal on Maui. The condo is wonderful - everything that the photos feature. Great kitchen that was very well equiped. I am a professional chef and was pleasantly surprised at everything that was inlcuded. We loved the location as well. We were only steps from the beach. Great snorkeling. Turtle and a ton of fish. We would highly recommend booking this unit. We hope to return again sometime.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Kahana Sunset B2. Everything has been updated and well maintained. The grounds are well manicured and the pool is nice (and warm) for adults or children. The owners were so easy to work with. Each of the decks has a great ocean view, and the lower one has an awning that few other units have. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend a week in Maui.

We are just back from a fantastic week at Kahana Sunset. The condo is beautiful. It has been recently updated / upgraded and is very tastefully decorated. The condo has warm colors, nice decor /furniture and special touches throughout. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms are modern and clean with beautiful tile. The property itself is gorgeous - private beach, well maintained grounds with beautiful flowers / trees (even an herb garden that is open for all to use). The property also has a very friendly, comfortable and casual feel with great staff and friendly guests/owners. We will definitely be back some day and plan to highly recommend this unit and property to friends and family. All arrangements and enquiries with owners were prompt, professional and helpful.

Our first time on Maui without staying in a hotel and to be quite honest, we will never go back to staying in hotels! This place was fantastic! It was so peaceful, beautifully decorated and so close to all the amenities. We are already planning our next visit. Thanks again for sharing your home.

We did spend 8 days at the place. It was great. Very well equipped, all you could wish for in the kitchen was there. Great view from both levels.. Area is really nice and very well taken care of. Management and staff very friendly, helpful and always going the extra mile. Planning to come back soon and often.

We have been coming to Kahana Sunset for over 25 years off and on. This unit is the best unit we have stayed in so far, completely updated, granite, new furniture, paint, etc. Susan Campbell is great to deal with with rental needs, fast communication etc. This will be our 2nd stay in this unit coming up Nov. 4th. Great privacy, beach, and relaxation while being close to golf, dining, local coffee shop within walking distance while still keeping all your privacy. Can't say enough, we simply love it here!

Aloha Maples and Campbells, Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful condo. Us four Aussies have had a fantastic time here over Christmas. We lost count of how many places we looked at on line to suit our family of two adults and two teenages, and we're happy in every way that we chose yours - spacious, cool, comfy...and seeing whales from the lanai - priceless! We loved the books and family games, and the kids gave the ice-maker a really good workout. We very much hope to make it back one day and won't hesitate to recommend B2 to our friends. Have been staying at the Kahana Sunset for 25 years now - yikes! - and this might be the best trip yet. Your remodel could not have been done better; the unit is comfortable, beautiful and practical. Loved the lanai shade, the bamboo curtains, the color paleltte, the beds...wonderful!Even the on-property office staff (two separate people) admitted this was their favorite unit. I'll definitely be back!

We had an absolute blast on vacation and enjoyed the condo! The only downside was no air conditioning. It was hot! It did cool down in the evening with leaving doors open and having all fans on but would have been more comfortable with ac. Other then that the beds were comfortable, rooms were very nice and clean, the kitchen was great and the view off of the two balconys was beautiful! We didn't mind going to bed with the doors open listening to the ocean every night. We absolutely loved the private beach! We snorkeled with three large sea turtles! Also the pool and grilling area was great! We would absolutely come back! The owner was great to communicate with and renting from her was easy and effortless! She was very nice and quick to respond! thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we wanted blender, crock pot and stuff to use at the BBQ. We enjoyed so many days just there at the condo enjoying the beach and property. The staff was amazing and the grounds were always being cleaned and straightened. Many others family were there as well and it still was very quiet. This is for sure were we will always stay when returning to the island.

Stayed here for 9 nights, and wished we could have stayed the whole month. Location is amazing, being able to walk out on either lanai and see the trees, sky, beach and water. It is so nice to be able to open the doors and hear the waves, feel the warm air, and just feel the stress dirt away. The rental unit was great - the beds were comfortable, plenty of pillows, fans to keep the air cool at night, kitchen was bigger than we expected, and the living room was comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone, and hoping that we can stay here again next time we are visiting Maui.

This place was perfect. Low key, laid back but with a great pool, a private beach and a wonderful cove with sea turtles and wonderful to snorkel. I can't think of a better "base" to operate out of. Close proximity to everything you could ever want. We are coming back.

The location is perfect - felt like we were on a private beach because Kahana Sunset is the only property on the bay. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved eating our meals on the lanai and our kids enjoyed the pool. We will visit again! Thank you for a great vacation.

B2 Kahana Sunset is Great
